Friends of Five Quad is a group associated with Five Quad Volunteer Ambulance Service. Being a Friend is a great way to get involved through Five Quad without the commitment of being a member, so you still have the ability to do other activities here on campus without conflict. Friends of Five Quad help with the public relations of Five Quad VAS by participating in fundraising and team building events, coming to membership meetings, and by getting our name and services known to the campus community to help create a safer environment for all students and staff here at UAlbany.

As a Friend of Five Quad, you can:

  • Learn First Aid/CPR
  • Learn to take vitals
  • Become a CPR Instructor
  • Visit the Five Quad Office
  • Participate in fundraisers
  • Help at tabling and public relations
  • Attend membership meetings and events
  • Ride along on the ambulance as an observer

If you are interested in joining Friends of Five Quad, please contact our coordinator, Wyatt Greth at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

General Interest Meetings will be held at the beginning of the 2016 Spring Semester on February 1st at Liberty Terrace and 2nd in LC25! The Meeting starts at 8 pm.

If you are interested in joining Five Quad, it is required that you attend ONE of the two meetings and sign up for an interview.

There is no dress code for the informational, just bring a pen and paper.

During the informational, you will learn about Five Quad, learn how to join, and what being a member entails.  At the conclusion of the meeting, you will have time to sign up for an interview. You will be able to choose the day and time that works best for you.
